This cottage was built around 1835 and is situated in the pretty village of Walkington.
Stone steps and wrought iron railings lead to the front door of the cottage. Recently modernised, yet retaining all of its charm, East End Cottage is fully double glazed and centrally heated.

          
                                                            




bulletThe Lounge

            

The cosy lounge has a dog grate fire complete with (first) logs for those cosy nights in. There is a comfortable settee and 2 tub chairs to chose to relax on. Play your favourite CD on the Hifi system or watch TV. There is a DVD player and the village shop has a good selection of films. Alternatively just relax and read one of the collection of novels or magazines provided for your enjoyment.

There are some children's DVD's  in the cottage to keep your little ones entertained should you decide to bring them along ! There is also a box of toys, jigsaws and games under the bed in the twin room to entertain the children while you relax with a cup of tea or glass of wine.

bulletA fully equipped kitchen, including washing machine, fridge, oven, hob, and microwave, looks out onto the back garden area. Watch out for the ducks looking to share some breakfast! There is an iron, ironing board  and a clothes-horse in the cupboard.
bulletThe dining room has a pine table and chairs, which fits in beautifully with the cottage style.
bulletWhy not try one of the local pubs within the village that serve fantastic food? The village shop has a good choice of food and wine should you choose to stay in.

 
bulletThe Bedrooms

                  

 
bulletThere are two clean and freshly decorated bedrooms both with fitted wardrobes. The double bedroom has a television - perfect for a restful weekend watching your favourite TV programme in bed.

bulletThe bathroom completes the facilities in the cottage. A new suite in white with a shower over the bath. Fresh fluffy towels can be hired by prior arrangement.
